Abstract

Thirteen taxa in the family Podoceridae are reported from tropical Australia, including six new species and four new records. Podocerus hanapepe J. L. Barnard, 1970, P. talegus lawai J. L. Barnard, 1970, P. walkeri Rabindranath, 1972 and P. zeylanicus (Walker, 1904) are reported from Australia for the first time. New distribution records are provided for P. crenulatus Myers, 1985, P. lobatus (Haswell, 1885) and Laetmatophilus dabberi Barnard & Drummond, 1981. The six new species Podocerus clavicarius sp. nov., P. ferreus sp. nov., P. miscix sp. nov., P. orontes sp. nov., P. rockingham sp. nov., and L. triceratops sp. nov. are described.
