Profile

Vanessa has worked at the Australian Museum, Taronga Zoo and Centennial Parklands in various education and interpretation roles over the past ten years, before joining the Science Communication team in 2010.

Vanessa's current role as the NSW Science Communication Project Officer is supported by the NSW state government and the federal government's Inspiring Australia project.

For the past two years she has been overseas working as a Science Communicator at the Natural History Museum in London working on live and webcast shows for research scientists and curators.

Many people refer to her as "the batlady" as she loves all things bat related and regularly handraises orphaned flying foxes.
