Profile
My name is Chanele Moss I am the Administrative Officer of Australian Museum Members the Membership division of the Australian Museum. I started working at the Australian Museum in 2006 as a Technical Officer in the Marine Invertebrate Department. In 2008 I took on the role as Admin Assistant in the Members department. Before I worked at the Museum I worked for a year and a half at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney on Australia's Virtual Herbarium Project. While I was studying at uni I worked at State Forests (now known as Forests NSW) as a Scientific Technical Officer in the Forest Health department cataloging their insect collection as a part of the Biolink Project funded by the CSIRO.
My current job in Members has many different elements which makes it very enjoyable. I facilitate the Membership process by interacting with the Members via many different avenues. I manage the Members database system and I am also responsible for the Membership renewals, processing all new Memberships, as well as coordinating the quarterly Members Explore magazine mail out. I help contribute to the running many of the Members events, including our popular sleepover programs, as well as taking and managing bookings for the many events Members run.
