Description

Almost half of the amphibian species in Indo-Burma are thought to be declining or are too poorly known to determine whether they are declining or not, reflecting the overall lack of information regarding the distribution, basic biology and conservation status of amphibians in the region.

To address this issue, we will build the capacity of local scientists to collect data on Indo-Burma's amphibian populations through specialized training. We will then work with newly trained researchers to survey amphibian populations throughout the region, establishing baseline information about the diversity, health and conservation status of amphibian species present.
