Hi cathys,  I am not aware of any online resources that you can use.  As far as books go, there are a number that will help you identify fishes from NW WA.  I would recommend you look at the list of references at http://ozfishnet.org/fishbooks.htm.  Last and Stevens, 2009 is the best book to use for sharks and rays.  I hope this helps.

Just moved to Pilbara WA and looking for a fish database to identify coastal marine life, sharks and small to medium fish species. Fisheries dont seem to have amany visuals and cant find particluar species located here. Anyone have any ideas as to where I can get a good ID database chart re Western Australia?
