Abstract:Prosocratus carolinae sp. nov. from the Great Barrier Reef is described. It is very similar to the South Australian species Prosocratus butcheri Barnard & Drummond, 1982, but differs in male gnathopod 1 characters. Additionally the Cheirocratidae is rediagnosed.
