I recently spent a day with some of our Fashion Less Waste 2012: Deep Oceans judges – Louise Olsen from Dinosaur Designs, Kelley Sheenan from Peppermint Magazine and Kelly Elkin from ALAS. It was time to choose the finalists of this fashion design competition.
What a spectacular and inspiring 2010 Fashion Less Waste parade. The judges choices were hard... Each finalist outfit was mostly made from recycled materials, was inspired by one or more Australian animal, and was fabulous. But in the end, some lucky students had to be chosen as winners and runners-up. Who are they? Where can you see their outfits on display?
The 2010 judges of Fashion Less Waste were challenged to choose finalists from so many wonderful entries. This annual fashion design competition invites students to create an outfit that is mostly made from materials originally used for a non-clothing purpose. In this International Year of Biodiversity, students were inspired by our fabulous Australian animals.
