  • I saw a very large 35mm yellow and black flying insect, that I assume was from bee family. Never seen anything like it before in Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. Weather was unseasonally warm, wet and humid just before Christmas. It had two large yellow stripes and 2 black stripes and from memory yellow legs, a big body. Have tried to identify through different websites, can't find what it is. Does anyone have any ideas pls? Unfortunately didn't get a pic.
