• Hello, I am hoping you can help me confirm the identity of a spider I found unexpectedly amoungst my mail this morning. I thought the spider was a redback; it was black, had spindlely legs and had the distinct red hourglass shaped stripe on its abdomen. However on closer inspection, this spider also had two, or possibly three, thin orange/red lines running laterally across its abdomen. I didn't kill the spider but released it into the garden.
