Abstract
I am indebted to Dr. Eugene S. Richardson, Jnr., of Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., for bringing to my notice that the species described by me (1938, p. 242) as Conularia distinct is preoccupied by C. distincta of Boucek (1928). I therefore propose a new name, C. bowningensis, after the type locality, for the Upper Silurian conularid from Bowning, New South Wales.
