Warumwarum, three wives and son, Duke of York island, East New Britain, PNG, 1876-1880. AMS318/V6451. Warumwarum and his brothers were the local political leaders when George Brown began his mission work on Duke of York in 1876. They helped him establish contacts with their trading partners in other villages and islands, and acted as interpreters and advisors.
