This is one of a series of photographs, taken by Harry Burrell, of a thylacine. Debate continues as to whether this is a real Tasmanian Tiger or a taxidermied specimen. A cropped version of this image has appeared in many publications since 1921. The glass plate negative ofthis image is held in the Australian Museum archives.
