Starfish - Jillian Thomsen, Secondary School 2006

This is a photo of some type of starfish. I saw it in a rock pool but didn’t want to touch it, so I sat there for an hour waiting for it to move. It didn’t so this is not a action shot. However, the colours are so clear I just loved it, especially the shadows on the spines on its back. The photgraph was taken with a Konica Minolta DiMage z20 digital camera using standard zooms settings, handheld. Printed at Kmart.
