I have just discovered that it is a Spider Wasp that has been dragging dead spiders across our deck. We have seen this about 3 times and the spiders are not small. This one in the photo managed to handle this spider down a vertical wall without dropping it.

Have just witnessed a spider wasp investigating web lines, then chasing a spider down a line to the ground where he zapped it then carried it away
