Part of the microenvironment series, this image was shot in Green Bush National Park on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne. The raindrops falling down kept crashing onto the snail's head as it was trying to seek shelter under the fern. This image was taken with a canon EOS 20D, using a Sigma 105mm macro lens, shutter speed 1/8000th, f10.
