Image: Silkworms Courting - Oliver Pitman
My sisters and I have pet silkworms. Every year we watch them hatch, eat leaves, and build cocoons. After they come out of their cocoons, they only live for a few days and just try to mate. I took this picture just before they mated. Sometimes there are lots of males trying to mate with one female.
