Sieni with a group of young people, Satupa'itea, Savai'i, Samoa, 1893. AMS318/V6111. Sieni was possibly the wife of Sositeni Mawa. The couple were stationed on New Britain as pastor teachers from 1877-1879. The cotton clothing has been trimmed and decorated, and combined with garlands of fresh leaves and scented flowers.
