Image: Reconstructing dinosaurs from skeletons
Once fossils are prepared and preserved, the bones are assembled and a detailed drawing or reconstruction is made of the skeleton. Muscles, tendons and skin are then added to recreate a living dinosaur or other animal. From bottom to top: skeleton, musculature, skin.
