Diagnosis
Species of Prioniodus with an apparatus, including seven morphotypes (M, Sa, Sb, Sc, Sd, Pa, and Pb elements); Pa and Pb elements with denticulate posterior and outer lateral process and adenticulate (or with rudimentary denticles) anterior process; all S elements with a proclined cusp, a long denticulate posterior process, and adenticulate (or rudimentarily denticulated) lateral and anterior processes.
Age
Early Ordovician (early Floian), about 476-478 Ma.
Distribution
South China.
