Additional information
Madagasikara vazimba reaches a shell height of 2 to 3 centimetres. So far, it is only known from one locality on Madagascar and might therefore be threatened by the general degradation of freshwater habitats on this island. The species name refers to the Vazimba, dwarf-like original inhabitants of Madagascar according to Madagascan mythology.
