Additional information
This gecko was photographed in a garden in Canberra and is commonly known as Lesueur's velvet gecko. This species is the most variable and widley distributed member of its genus. Usually found living in caves or crevices, or under exfoliating slabs on large rock slopes and ridges. It forages on the open rock faces and among ground litter at the edges of the rock faces for insects and other invertebrates.
