In 1971 the Museum bought a collection of Pacific Island fish hooks, including this one, from Mr Stephen Kellner, a dealer in South Pacific artefacts. The fish hooks had been collected by Mr Aldo Massola who, for ten years, was Curator at the National Museum of Victoria.
Description: round u-shaped, flat fish hook made of pearl shell; dark brown, twisted, natural fibre cord attached at top.
