Additional information

The specimens are 42 mm and 51 mm total length respectively.

The Southern Shortfin Eel occurs in Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. The Giant Mottled Eel is the most widespread species of Anguilla with multiple populations across its range from east Africa to French Polynesia.
