Image: E078192 Club
E078192 club, wood, northern New South Wales, southern Queensland, Australia.
This wooden club is from northern New South Wales or southern Queensland, Australia. The club is carved from a single piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a pointed base. The diameter of the club increases towards the top to form the club's head. The head then tapers to a point. Towards the base, hatched incisions around the circumference of the club form a grip. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1982.
