The trip to South Africa had thrown out my sleep cycle, so I was awake early. I decided to grab my camera and head out. I wandered over to some interesting foliage trees where I spotted this colourful character among the leaves. I found my subject to be very obliging and patient while I framed up this 'elegant' potrait. Zonocerus elegans. Elegant grasshopper, South Africa.
