Image: Drunken Octopus - Neil Vincent
Taken under Swansea Bridge, New South Wales, this octopus adapted to using our rubbish to protect its den. Among the natural rocks collected were two discarded beer cans. I removed one can and placed it just in front of my lens, knowing the octopus would reach out to retake its property. Despite being spineless, octopus are very intelligent and a lot of fun to interact with.
