I had observed this assassin fly in my backyard over a few days landing in the same general area. This particular morning I was hanging out the washing with my camera hanging around my neck (as you do) when he came for a visit. I managed to get three shots before he took flight. I was amazed when I realised the assassin fly was actually in the process of devouring his breakfast.
