Charles Anderson was appointed mineralogist of the Australian Museum in 1901. His research work was in morphological crystallography and the chemistry of minerals in Australia for which he received his doctorate, titled 'Contributions to Australian Mineralogy’, in 1908.This photograph shows Anderson measuring crystal angles with the Museum's goniometer purchased in 1906.
