Dr Brian Lassig has been Assistant Director, Research & Collections Division since January 2010. He has held positions at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority in Townsville and was a member of the team responsible for the establishment of the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Ecologically Sustainable Development of the Great Barrier Reef. He has has been a member of national and state committees and advisory groups in the areas of marine science, environmental management and climate change.
