A glittering tiger beetle - Morgan Talbot, Prinary School 2007

I spotted this common Shore Tiger Beetle (Cicindela repanda) as I walked along a small beach in Wisconsin, USA. He was very quick on his feet and in the air, so I spent many, many hours pursuing him up and down the beach before I got close enough to take this picture.
