Image: 1910 Bible
My significant cultural object is a quite small black book, a Bible. It is covered in leather and is quite torn. The Bible is dated 18th November, 1915 but was the 1910 edition.
My great, great grandmother, Eliza Lamond gave it to my great uncle, Hilton Lamond James.
It is special to my whole family because it actually saved my great uncle from dying. He was a solider in World War l and was fighting. One day he was shot but the bullet did not go through it went through the Bible which was in his top pocket.
This Bible is over one hundred years old.
