Eureka Prizes Science Seminar

It's the day after the night before. Hear from two Eureka Prize finalists and find out makes their science so special.

 

What: Eureka Prizes Science Seminar

Time: 1 - 2pm
Speaking at the inaugural event will be:

Nicole Kuepper: a solar-cell dynamo from the University of New South Wales whose research could bring electricity to 2 billion of the world's poorest people, and

 

Steve Simpson: a Federation Fellow at the University of Sydney whose research into swarming locusts led to a greater understanding of the human obesity epidemic.

Nicole is a finalist in the British Council Eureka Prize for Young Leaders in Environmental Issues and Climate Change.  Steve is a finalist in the UNSW Eureka Prize for Scientific Research.

Both Nicole and Steve are also finalists in the Eureka Prizes People's Choice Award.

Winners of the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are announced on Tuesday 19 August - the evening before this event.
