Video Conferencing
Video conferencing has started again for 2010. Schools can access the Museum's collections and staff through a series of video conferences.
Many events are still in development but it is exciting to be able to have the first in a great series of topic presented to schools. We just finished 3 workshops on Stick insect in your Classroom and one with the Museum in a Box program on Megafauna. There were 20 schools over the 4 workshops and we are getting set for the rest of the year.
Coming up after school holidays in May we are looking at evolution. There will be up close experiences with Winny the Museum's Muttaburrasaurs, in Palaeontology through Puppetry. You can also journey back in time to meet our ancestors in the Human Evolution presentation and a chance to Meet the Megafauna large extinct animals that once roamed through Australia.
Keep an eye out on our website for events later in the year and let me know what you would like to see next.
