New staff, new questions and new challenges; one stand out though was the 'ewww factor' of the fungal leatherjacket images.
Sydney diver Gaetano Dario Gargiulo sent us images of a 'fungal leatherjacket' that he photographed recently. We sought the expert advice of 'Leatherjacket Man' Dr Barry Hutchins who replied that he has seen leatherjackets almost totally covered with a fungus-like growth (no we aren't sure what it is!). Perhaps the fish doctor should have prescribed penicillin.
Another 'highlight' was the new page on how to cite the fish Web pages. It generated a flood of Facebook debate about whether there is a standard way to cite material on the web.
