Flying foxes on powerlines

Keep an eye out for electrocuted bats on powerlines at this time of year.

Female bats will be carrying babies for the next few months and in most cases the babies will survive an electrocution and need to be removed quickly from the dead mother.

Call Sydney Wildlife 9413 4300 or me if it’s near the museum.

Grey headed flying fox numbers have declined by 30% in the past decade, rescuing and rehabilitating young ones is just one way to help them out.
