Identification
The Yellowback Puller can be recognised by its colouration. A dark stripe runs diagonally from the eye to the soft dorsal fin. Above this stripe the fish is yellowish-brown and below it is silver. The upper and lower margins of the caudal fin are black.
Size range
The species grows to 9 cm in length.
Distribution
The species occurs from northern Queensland to the south coast of New South Wales.

Habitat
