ANIMAL SPECIES:Narrow-lined Pufferfish, Arothron manilensis (Proce,1822)
The Narrow-lined Pufferfish occurs primarily in temperate marine waters of the Western and Central Pacific. The pectoral fin base is surrounded by a large black spot.
Identification
The Narrow-lined Pufferfish is white to brown with yellow to black lines on the body. The pectoral fin base is surrounded by a large black spot.
Size range
The species grows to 30 cm in length.Distribution
It occurs primarily in temperate marine waters of the Western and Central Pacific.
In Australia it is known from the central coast of Western Australia, around the tropical north and south to the central coast of New South Wales.
