Lizard Island Fellowships

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Australian Museum offers up to five fellowships to enable research at Lizard Island each year. In 2012, a grant for research into sustainable recreational fishing is also offered.

Lizard Island Doctoral Fellowships - The Lizard Island Doctoral Fellowship and the Ian Potter Doctoral Fellowship at Lizard Island each provide up to three years' funding for field work at Lizard Island Research Station for a PhD student. Preliminary applications for the 2012 Fellowships close on 19 August 2011. 

Lizard Island Postdoctoral Fellowships - The Isobel Bennett Marine Biology Fellowship, the John and Laurine Proud Fellowship and the Yulgilbar Foundation Fellowship at Lizard Island each provide funding for field work at Lizard Island Research Station for researchers who obtained a PhD less than six years ago. Applications for the 2012 Fellowships close on 30 September 2011.

Grant for research into sustainable recreational fishing - The Peter Teakle Sustainable Fishing Research Grant is open to any researcher with suitable skills and experience. Expressions of interest close on 30 September 2011.
