Birds with a Beat dance video competition

Young people can perform their bird of paradise dance live at the Museum.

Encourage your students (aged 5-18 years) to enter this competition inspired by the flamboyant birds of paradise. The exhibition, Rituals of Seduction: birds of paradise , opening 9th April 2011, will generate ideas and enthusiasm. They send us a 3-minute movie of their dance and could be selected to perform live at the Australian Museum. Groups of students could do this as a curriculum linked activity in the classroom or in their own time with friends.
