International Day of Climate Change

Saturday the 24th October was the International Day of Climate change and the United Nations Day.

At different places around the world people got together on Saturday to take action on climate change. The 24th October is also United Nations Day.

I attended a local function where I made two presentations. I met lots of kids that were keen to learn more about Climate Change. We participated in lots of activities learning about solar power, wave generation, the greenhouse effect, and I even got to look inside the motor of a wind turbine which was really cool.

The one thing that always stands out at events like this is that no matter what your age people do care about the environment and are keen to learn more and that’s a great thing!

Let’s hope that world leaders were watching on Saturday and as they head to Copenhagen in December they remember the world would like a new positive climate change agreement.

Remember “Habits made today will help life tomorrow”
