Ian Kiernan blogs on Plastiki
Ian Kiernan the founder of Clean Up Australia and Clean up the World talks about a throwaway society on Plastiki website.
Ian Kiernan is an amazing man. He is not only a renowned sailor having sailed solo around the world but he was the first person to see waste and the negative impact it has on our environment and then take action. Ian went onto to found the Clean up campaigns. Over the years his campaigns have collected thousands of tonnes of rubbish and has probably saved the lives of many marine animals.
Ian’s actions demonstrate that one person can make a difference, a huge difference. I congratulate Ian for all his work for cleaning up our planet. Ian is another adult I look to for inspiration.
