Copenhagen Result
The Copenhagen Accord
The Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen has ended and the result is a little disappointing. World leaders were unable to negotiate a legally binding global treaty. These negotiations were always going to be tough as there are many needs from many countries to satisfy.
It might be the end of the conference but this might be the beginning of further discussions and negotiations which will lead to a binding agreement that will protect our planet.
In six months there will be another climate change conference in Bonn, Germany where further work can be done to follow up on the Copenhagen conference. There is also another UN conference in Mexico at the end of 2010. At the end of the Mexico conference perhaps then world leaders can commit to a treaty most want and the planet needs.
So there is still hope.
